Try building a detailed model, drawing an extensive picture, finely cleaning your car, forming a colorful manicured garden. Now hand over that creation to a friend, to a stranger. How do they respond to it? How do they handle it? How do you feel about their reaction?

In looking at the issue (of opportunity) at hand, one way to demonstrate respect is to look at the issue from as many points of view as possible, especially the ones you do not share. If you can not see the variations, ask someone else what they see.
