The act of being in accordance with the accepted principles of
conduct governing an individual or a group or a profession.
I can do no other than be reverent before everything that is
called life. I can do no other than to have compassion for all that
is called life. That is the beginning and the foundation of all
ethics

Albert Schweitzer 1875-1965; Nobel Peace Prize
Consider a clerk taking money out of a cash drawer. What are
the circumstances that you know? Are there some you don't
know? Follow an 'unethical' action to identify what taught you
that it is unethical.
In looking at the issue (of opportunity) at hand, consider each of
the parties directly involved. Are we aspiring to the highest
ethical action? Describe it. How is this ethic dynamic? Is the
action both ethical and unethical? Under what circumstances or
perspectives?
