Consider the landscape before you. What do you see? How long did it take to create the natural wonders around you? Is there a vacant lot from your childhood that has been developed? With what? And how long will that change last?

In looking at the issue (of opportunity) at hand, what are the ramifications of our actions, of our decisions, of our inactions, of our indecisions on our grandchildren's, grandchildren's great grandchildren? (We are currently living the actions of those from the turn to the 19th Century.)
