LISTENING
To make an effort to hear; to pay attention, with the intent of
learning.
Everything has been said before, but since nobody listens we
have to keep going back and beginning all over again.

Andre Gide - Nobel Prize Literature
Take note of a simple phrase you recently heard. How many
different meanings can you create from the one phrase? Look
up the definition of each word to create different meanings for
the phrase.
In looking at the issue (of opportunity) at hand, what are the key
descriptive words and phrases being used? What are the
definitions for those phrases/words? Are there other cultures
involved? Other languages? Are there strong emotions being
conveyed with certain words? Repeat what you are hearing
from each participant.
