Consider the scenarios: We have come to a fork in the road. We can go left…or right. But is there an alternative? We are hungry. We can either go out or eat in. but is there an alternative? We are answering True/False questions. But is there an alternative to the True ones?

In looking at the issue (of opportunity) at hand, identify the various polarities to the issue. Plot each facet on a line noting the extreme options at either end. Are there options in the middle? Are there options completely off the line? What would happen if a 'wild' idea was pursued?
