Explanation What are Provisions: |
Provisions are a stock of necessary supplies. In this case Provisions are the minimum guiding principles essential to each of the expeditions. Guiding Principles are the base to any Project, a key element to any Workshop. The Inuksuk Used here, as in the Arctic, to symbolize directional markers for those guidelines. Specifically, Provisions are a set of criteria that we can apply to each Expedition On The Horizon, to each issue, to each decision, to each opportunity that comes our way. There are 13 that have been identified, with the 13th being a key Provision. It is one you get to create yourself. The 13 Provisions and the directions stated for each are intended to be only starting off points. They represent the minimum to review when confronted with an issue. Issues can quickly become complicated. At that point it may be beneficial to select a Provision and walk through the 4 sections for the issue at hand. One of them is bound to bring the clarity that is needed. As with a mountan trek, the Provisions one has available to use can very easily determine many of the elements of a trek, including duration, direction, level of exertion... The 13 Provisions identified here are no less important. And finally, when a decision on the issue is being made and it is in direct conflict with some of the Provisions, ask why? |
